Willow Trail (1995)

I could walk the willow trail and see the world unfold
up above the sunny glade where air is thin and cold.
Grasp a dandelion and pull though thousands grace the light;
the wind will free its tiny chutes and whisk them far from sight.
Perhaps to travel into town where children play and sing.
Where lovers stroll t he shop lined streets and church bells gently ring.
Perhaps to catch ascending drafts, the mountain slopes below;
ever twisting on and up to light upon the snow.
Perhaps to ride the river way and someday find the sea,
or navigate the forest path to rest beneath a tree.
Upon the willow trail I walk to see the world unfold
Up above the sunny glade where air is thin and cold.
