The Candle

A flicker of light
A ray of hope
A flame may start
A love may grow
I look at you
and you at me
I see a future
a life to be
I wonder how
I made you stay
I wonder why
fate is this way
A brief encounter
a passing glance
Here and now
a lifetime passed
