Inspired by "The Oracle" (1974) by Philop Gaston(1913-1980) at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Baltimore, Maryland
No answers come without pink pain,
and that only after working up the mount.
Scratching and scraping, pulling with teeth,
and pushing a boulder up the whole way
then jumping through the hurdles
now coated with cracking crimson.
All of this to find a destiny
of cracked tablets back at the bottom.
Above hangs a sun
(an artificial one).
Using the light,
look but don't touch.
Climbers plummet.
