In the morning we packed our gear up and started the hike back home. We kept up a pretty good pace, but were constantly harassed by thick vegetation and stream crossings too deep to keep our feet dry. We made it back to the trailhead at around noon, where we took some time to bathe in the creek before starting the five hour drive home. We then regretfully left the Blue River behind us, yet still enjoyed the drive out. As all of them had been, it was another beautiful day in the Blue Range.
