Rainbows
With Noah God made a Covenant
With words so strong
With words he meant
All ears believed
Their faith strong in the Lord
An unbreakable chain
An unsnappable cord
After the rains, to ensure hope
A rainbow would appear
To touch every slope
But where are the rainbows
After ones constant sorrow
To take away the pain
To never-endingly borrow
This is for what my heart does long
A break to gain peace
A time to grow strong
Lord, I grow weary of pleading with you
Please bring me a rainbow
Before all strength runs through
