Poetry by Gabriel Mangual

Added 15 November 2009

This is a section where I post poems sent to me by people who have found my site and wish to display their own works. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

This poem is by Gabriel Mangual, who first shared his poetry with us in 2003 at the age of 16. He is currently serving in the U.S. Marines. Thanks Gabriel!

Chance

Straight and razor sharp to the touch,
You could have passed it up as such,
Compassionate corrosion of Constance,
Longing for the small and simple dance,
Love, they would have you believe is a crutch,
They would lie to bring you down a notch,
A fear so dear it's an eerie balance,
That I could fall in such haste and competence,
A blast that last in past tense,
I could riddle my way into h***,
Don't deny it isn't a lie, I won't tell.
