Crowded Secrets (Memories of a Museum)

by Brian Jones

Added 13 October 1997

Peoples' rapt attention gained
by sitting, staring, writing.
The piece, once alone,
now stands crowded,
as an effect of
my poetic vigil.
Noticing I notice,
they feel they should too.
Every time is the same,
wishing to be let in
on the secret.
