Leave Me in the Desert

If I become an old, crotchety grump
Complaining Bewailing
If no answer is up to snuff
Displeasing Disturbing

Throw me in the trunk
Kicking Screaming
And drive me to a desert chunk
Unblinking unbending

Leave me out there
Justly Peacefully
Where I will wander
Mumbling Bedamning

Until the desert cures me
Helping Healing
Or the desert kills me
Truly Duly

Leave me in the desert
and save me,
one way or the other.
