[July] July is the month of the harvest. Here, the painting shows the fodder crops being cut with a scythe, and the cereal crops being cut with a sickle. The fodder crops are cut at half length, so that there is straw in the fields for cattle. The building depicted in this painting is the Chateau of Poitiers.
